Why should it be inappropriate? Like I said, I'm in a wheelchair myself, I do not find it offensive, I find it funny.
No offence kp, but you are sounding a bit like a sandal wearing liberal who is frightend to death to show anything slightly contoversial for fear of it not being politically correct! I found that having met people with speech problems/disabilities etc at football matches in the disabled area that pretty much all of them have a wicked sense of humour and just because their speech is slurred, it does not mean that they are not 'all there'. These guys are happy to laugh at themselves, so you should not be afraid to laugh at them, that is what they are inviting you to do, and all credit to them for it! I'm still practising for the wheelchair 110m hurdles at the olympics. It's been a real headache from day one! |
