To all the Vista haters here at PR

Ok, I am really lmao after this article was just posted a few mins ago on gizmodo.com

Windows XP Users Actually Love Vista... If They Think It's Something Else

Quote:
While the whole thing is ultimately a marketing campaign, it does raise an interesting point—how much of the Vista hate is really just sheeple bleating what everyone else is? Chen and I use it everyday (though I use it three times as much as he does), and it's really not Microsoft's most epic fail ever. It's got problems, but what OS doesn't?
HaHaHaHaHaHaHa...................sheeple

And now coverage is popping up on other tech sites as well:

Re: To all the Vista haters here at PR

I like the new features of Vista that help me keep my files organised and find anything at the drop of a hat, and it looks nice too (bonus, but not important)

So, when I'm working I much prefer vista over XP (which does the job fine, but not as efficiently imo)

gaming wise however, i'm sticking with XP for now, vista has too much security designed for complete morons that open every exe file that comes their way.

Very interesting experiment tho, just shows the herd mentality in everyday life.

Respect the R-Staff, they are pretty...pretty badass
so, if you don't like PR, get a refund

Vista works great with PR.
e6850
4 x 1024 ddr2 ram
9800 gtx

The random crahes, (where PR pretends that you just hit alt+F4) is a vBF2 bug. It happened on my old system too, (with xp) way before I started playing PR...

Ppl stating that Vista needs 1.5 gig of ram just to run are lying..It might load 1,5 gigs of shit into ram when you boot, but it will drop it as soon as you start pr.exe....

(1680x1050, everything on max, 2xAA and lowest AF = 100 fps most of the time. Might drop to 75 for a sec if Im close to 40 other players and a JDAM comes in)

That can be turned off in like 10 sec. and won't bother you again. First thing I did when I installed Vista, as well as when I bought my new laptop.

I don't hate Vista, and I like its features, but you have to admit that it's caused some trouble during the past period. Every OS release is like that to be honest. Anyway, Performance seems a big issue to me though, as I don't have a great computer, but neither a really crappy one, I do see a big difference in running older games in XP and in Vista.
