Hell yeah, I had this weirdes siege ever yesterday in which i was defending a fortress using just a unit of militias and a unit of static canons. So the enemy got in but just went to the flag just standing there doing nothing but let the two minutes run out. I stood some 15 m away just shooting at them with both muskets and canons and they didn't care. And then when that 2 minute timer was out, the siege begun all over again, just the same except they had fewer men.

There's seriously alot of bugs needed to be fixed...

I just watched half my 1st Dragoons with 3 experience empale themselves on some wooden stakes, without a single enemy around, they all had been routed att. I lost a very experienced general in the same way, you send them after routing enemies and he gets killed without anyone around but some wooden stakes.
And in sieges, when defending, my troops seem adement to get outside the protective walls via the ropes the enemy just threw on there.

If you can read this the bitch fell off.

Yeah the AI isn't too smart still ... (tho accidents did happen a lot during war ^^)
But I almost lost a siege when the enemy units where gingerly walking inside my walls through the side doors because one horseman from the unit I'd sent out was stuck in the door ... Just which you could manually open, close & lock gates.

Can't say I'm at all impressed when I get to beat an army twice my size without too much of a problem because they don't attack in mass, nor flank very much.

For the diplomacy side, I have yet to have them come and talk to me for anything.
And boy are they being precious with their research, time and time again I get to the point of proposing 4-5 of my own research + 2000 gold and they smug me

Anyone tried campaign / battles in hard difficulty ?

The only acceptable 'Lone Wolf' you'll be allowed to play :

V. Hard actually.

I'm a TW veteran since Shogun so I didn't really find it that hard. Enemy is a bit more aggressive and doesn't care if it sends you to an unfair fight, but if your playing as Prussia like I did, they get stomped anyway.

As far as battles, I leave them on hard because they get a ridiculous boost to stats if you put them any higher. Nothing is quite as infuriating is watching your guards rout to a bunch of militia.
