Re: Microsoft Vista - Where are we now!

I thought we were all waiting impaitiently for the next iteration of windows.

And on the subject of Vista, if its not good enough for the Chinese to run the Olympics on, its not good enough for me.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Many thanks to the Forum's no.1 hottie for the sig pretties.

I'm using Windows Vista and its working fine for me? So what's the problem? Too much Big Corporation bashing or something?

Vista doesn't like Adobe CS3.

Since reverting back to XP, I've just about solved my Illustrator & Photoshop crashing problems.

That's on a quad-core, maxed out mother too. :s

A lot of other people run CS3 just fine on Vista. Have fun stuck on XP.
Have been running Vista 64 since Oct. just fine. I used to try and help out people here in the hardware help forum, but got so sick of everyone bitching about Vista, even though most of the time it had nothing to do with it, that I don't even look in that forum any more. Waste of time.
By the way, if you hang out in real tech sites forums you will notice just about everyone is sick of the Vista bashing, and when trolls come in and post, they get flamed and shot down pretty quick. Quickest way to get labeled a noob is to automatically blame Vista just because you hear everyone else saying it.

If everyone else says it, that must make it true, right? [/sarcasm]

I read all the Vista bashing and was going to get XP on my new computer but I decided to take bamboo's word for it that they were just a bunch of whiners and I have had vista for a little bit now and only run into one little problems. One is with my mouse and its detecting there are two of them running in something, I have to disable one in device manager everytime I restart my computer, trying to find a fix for that atm. Only had one bluescreen which im 99.9% sure was related to the program I was running (EVE) As I was running two clients. No other crashes or problems like that, all the programs I used before work nicely etc.

Lols, I'd love to just agree with all the whiney bitches and follow along with them blaming Vista but I am in no way a noob when it comes to operating Adobe/ Microsoft packages.

If anyone states that Vista has been the most problem free, smooth running, least memory eating, efficient operating system, I salute you. I say that I'm not a "noob" but I don't need to be a 'real tech sites forum' goer to figure out what was causing my PC to crash.

@Desertfox
When I talked to you on x-fire the other night I thought you said you had the mouse thing fixed.
Get with me on X-fire because I still have the link bookmarked that you need to use to fix it. It is just that Logitech's mouse isn't loading before the default.
