Help friend trying to make me play Ghost Recon

Project reality has completely spoiled me, I can look at no other military games {except operation flashpoint and arma}the same when it comes to realism. But my stupid friend keeps trying to get me to play Ghost Recon 2 for xbox360 {ugh..} Hes been trying to convince me thats its so "real" and making claims such as "the US army uses G36s all the time!" He succeeded once in getting me to try it, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Nothing says real like sending 2 commandos from some FICTIONAL unit called the "ghosts" into mexico to fight a war all on theyre own. i might have liked this game when i was 12. atleast my friends dont try so hard to make me play halo anymore.

Yeah, grab the original for PC and give it a try. Also Rainbow 6.

I wish they would make a sequel to Ghost Recon. GR2,GRAW and GRAW2 don't count. The most favorable looking game in the same vein as OGR is Ground Branch. It's made by a new studio headed by a former RSE developer who worked on the original Ghost Recon.

GR is awesome. Except for the AI.

Original GR > all follow-ups.

Except for the AI, as Bob has said. It tends to be that or one of the guys 300 metres away turning around and giving you a single shot to the head from an AK fired from the hip.

EDIT: Oh, and get the Sabre Teams add-on. Instant badass.

This reminds me of another story about AI dumbness in some other older games.
