I've been playing COD4 multiplayer and.....

I quite like it

Sometimes I dont want the intensity of PR, and a few rounds of team deathmatch on COD 4 has been way more entertaining than I thought!


However, what I wanted to mention is although their maps are pitifully small, the detail in them means for the first time that I've seen, camoflage REALLY works in a game. Broken walls, shadows and foliage really work at breaking up your outline, and i have been doing remarkably better since noticing this. The masses of detail everywhere make it much harder to spot people, and instead of seeing someone as there is no cover to break up their outline, its often movement that catches your eye, or a shape that doesent fit its surroundings. Big shame PR can't match this, as blending in really is a massive part of warfare.

Other great thing of course is the material penetration. Awesome to see someone pop their head round a doorway and to put two in the brick wall next to it and see their body flop out


Sooo, blasphemy I know, and dont tell anyone, but I quite like CoD 4 !!

I find COD 4 great for the times when you don't want to spend hours at a game,it's great for a quick 10 minutes game.

Hell I still play FEAR Multiplayer and Quake Arena at work...Nothing wrong with playing other games

COD4 multiplayer is brilliant, I fully agree with the cover. Its amazing what you can get away with when you take a uav jammer and a silenced gun, shadows rock too, that make you pretty much invisible when sniping if you find some nice spots.

If only BF2 engine was able to achieve detail like that

i think its down tothe smallness of the maps the stuff renders at the distance that the map has, i mean the maps are pretty dam small.
Also the game came out recently BF2 came out what 4 years ago.

COD4 is bloody awsome game nonethe less for multiplayer games that are are short intense battles.
Has anyone played the zombie mod on there now that is bloody hilarious at times very goods mod and good game alround really. It does just need some bigger maps i think with the odd vehicle like CODUO and COD 1 had i think COD2 did cant remember.

I used to play zombie mod until they messed with the maps too much and had a poor rotation. Dont know what they are rotating now though havnt checked in ages.

I think COD 4 is very fun. I like it how you can costumise your weapons. Team Deathmatch is my favourite together with the capturing the flags. Although I am pretty bad at the game it's still fun.

il ike HQ of Cod:UO still have the Cd some where love that game its just uber first FPS multiplayer game that i played on a computer
