BF2 compared with games on the market now/before?
I'm pretty bored right now, and was wondering, do you guys think there is a better game/engine than BF2 now/before, cos I'm having reccuring memories of awesomness on Joint Operations and the only reason I stopped playing was cos my disk broke, but what do you guys think? Any games better than these ones??

Crysis - great SP, multiplayer meh eats up your PC too
COD4 - popular game and populated MP, but its too arcade and fast paced Rainbow 6 V2 - fun singleplay mainly for coop and all those the games i have i still like bf2 the most |

To be honest for all the mess ups by dice, BF2 is still a pretty kick ass. One of the best if not the best still available imo considering all the mods for it too. I mean PR POE2 FH2 AIX those are like 4 added games for free ontop of SF which doesnt get played enough imo.

Hands down, Ghost Recon or OFP. Both for different reasons but HEWGLY playable for years. Even today.

OMG PR! Joint Operations was great, haven't played ARMA more than 10 min but I can add it as a good game.

Re: BF2 compared with games on the market now/before?
Max Payne! Well... there really isn't much to compare but nothing beats Max Payne regardless.
To be honest, I never played BF1942, but I did get into the battlefield series with Battlefield Vietnam. There wasn't as much bunny hopping and insta prone head shots then (Plus no ranks!) And it was always fun blasting Ride of the Valkyries in your huey gunship. Plus, PoE1 was so damn fun back then. It might just be nostalgia, but I still think the old days were so much more fun. |

The one thing I really loved about the BF2 engine(or BF for that matter) is the squad system.
