Hi does anyone else here have this headset?
Logitech Premium Stereo Headset
You would be fooled to buy it, you would think hey, its made by logitech its bound to be good for £20... Wrong!
If you do own one, I recommend you return it ASAP or If you dont have one yet... Dont buy one!
Everybody on online stores are saying that 3-5 months down the line of using it, the left and sometimes both speakers constanlty cut out, It is happening to me anyway...
Other problems include the headset being extremely uncomfortable to start with, whereby the plastic band literally crushes your ears after having it on for less than 30mins, sound crackling when volume is adjusted on the in line volume control and when you move your head an inch...
Quote:
the sound adjuster is worthless. the cords coming out of either end wiggle loose and cause UNBEARABLE static for the person on the other end of the call. the microphone is skippy and cuts out most of the sentences spoken. if the cord becomes twisted in the slightest way the horrible static returns, and WILL NOT STOP

The thin cable of this headset looked suspicious to me as soon as I got it out of its box. And yes!!! The headset actually came with a loose contact around the remote control. Hurray! I guess I am used to every headphone cable to break at some point and keep wondering how that can be so difficult. But that it is actually broken on delivery...Whats wrong with Logitech!??

As others have noted, the padding is very thin and not very soft. Also, the padding rests on the ear itself, rather than forming a seal around it. The result is a tight fitting headset with minimal padding crushing your ears
My dad is an electirician and opened up the in line volume control thing of this "Premium" headset, and he said he hadnt seen such crappy work in his life, there was faulty connections everywhere due to tacky soldering. (Get my dad to fix it I hear you say?)
It's the first product I have bought from this company and it will certainly be the last. It's also definetly not worth £20 thats for sure...I would have been better off keeping the cash and saved it up to buy a better pair with a better brand name.

Anyone else having similar problems? If so just say here, want to see the scale of how widely spread these "faulty" headsets are. Also, I thought posting about this here might save a few people going through the same deadly experiences.

EDIT: I have hade enough of this nonsense, someone recommend me a good alround (and comfortable) headset with Recording capabilities, not bothred about price just shoot... Thanks

I had the problems. I bought those headphones twice and both had broke. It's a POS so I bought a plantronics headset.
Plantronics - Over-the-Head PC Gaming Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone - .AUDIO 770

The only problem I have had with it is the headset becomes loose after a while but It's not that big of a deal because you can turn the headphone foward or backward and it will stop being loose or you can just tie it to the headset until needed use. I had it for 5 or so months and it's still performing great.

I've never had anything from Logitech that didn't rather quickly break, or just be bollocks.

I've currently got a £20 headset from Argos that's perfect.

Heh funny coincidence.

My brother bought that exact headset some time ago. They broke after 3 days of use. Sounds where cracking every time you moved your head or the cable. He didn't return them to the store because he was too busy at the that time so he just gave them to me.

I tried to fix them headsets yesterday. The speaker part and the volume controls are full of fault connections just like you descriped. All the wires are open and unprotected inside the speaker part. Every time you move your head the wires touch each other and you hear a cracking noise.
Yes, its a horrible peace of equipment.

I have a Plantronics for almost a year and half now, hasn't failed aside from when I broke the first headset by tripping over it

POS, went through about three or four of them before I figured out that it wasn't me breaking them and that they were just crappy.
