As much as I hate to agree with Fox News, SickO is a blatant piece of propaganda. Personally, I know someone that has been waiting 3 or 4 years for a surgery needed 6 or 7 years ago, in Canada.

In US you need health insurance for medical care, and most places don't allow patients without health insurance. This also goes, if we have a universal healthcare like canada's and britan, what about the illegal immigrants? Also like our public school system is now, funded by tax, and even if you have no kids or send kids to private school still got to pay for public schools.

Sweet, if that's true. Good on yeah Norway!. Although I disagree with that chainsaw guy, he should have been locked up. You shouldn't be-able to kill two people, then for your jail sentence. Live better then you did before.

Just wrong in my opinion. Good intentions, but just wrong.

He never said Canada's health care system was perfect, he was just implying that it was better. Because if you take into account that in a lot of cases. Most get in at normal wait times (Never really had a wait time problem myself). For those unlucky to suffer Canada's Health Care Flaw. They will atleast be getting getting health care. America you get treated quicker, with more advanced machines but a lot can't recieve medical care and get rejected.

If you compare the two, Canada's is better but not really by that much. We both need to fix our systems, and perfect it.

I think a lot of people have forgotten about medicare and medicade. When my family moved to the U.S. we had what we could carry and $100 for each person yet when I started getting serious ear infections and the it was discovered I'd need surgery I was in the operating room in no time at all. We'd get regular medical checkups and dental treatment with no problem and it cost us nothing. My grandma now has all sorts of medical problems from age and, recently, a nasty break in her arm, but never has she been denied treatment. She's always gotten surgery very promptly and has never had issues getting the medication she needs.

Our system is far from perfect and, if it was up to me, I'd make not having insurance illegal, but our health care isn't bad. If you have an emergency a hospital must treat you, no ifs ands or buts, they have to treat you though they won't keep you and you won't get the best treatment.

As far as Norway goes, go them, their system couldn't work here though, culture would prevent that.

Thanks luizinhuu for the find

I have always had medical treatment, i suffer from a bad kidney disease and as far as i know when it came down to it, i was covered by my state.

However there have been allot of times my family needed to call our medicade provider to get them to cover my medication.

Bah, I've never had a real serious illness. The biggest thing was a cold. I have to get checked every six months and if anything would be wrong I'd have treatment immediately for the smallest thing

German Healthcare is pretty simple,
the state forces you to have a health insurance, and the costs for that are already deducted from the normal tax.
They pay for your medicine, and practically everything necessary to keep you healthy.

There cant be anyone in Germany without a health insurance.
Wich is quite nice i think.
In the US the state doesnt charge much taxes.
And in Germany a single non married guy has to pay about 50% income tax
so if u earn 2000$ a month u get 1000$
quite simple, but this insures all the poorer people also get health insurance.

Public ERs will treat with or without health insurance for life-threatening injuries, but not always life-threatening diseases.

WRT Illegal Immigration- Thats a big part of it. Are we going to cover those who dont pay taxes?

WRT Public School- You could always send your kids to public schools. If you have the money for private school, you have the money to pay the taxes.
