PR April Fools Joke last year...
anyone remember the April Fools prank PR played on the community last year?????
jezus christ..... scraed the living CRAP out of me...... who was the person i kept IM'ing during that time??? A10 Thunderbird or somthing like that... lol anyone else see this??? |

All too well.
 The Site you are trying to access has been SUSPENDED indefinitely due to a breach of contractual obligation specified under Article(s) 6 and 14 of the server.s Member License Agreement. Administrator Note: Dear PR Community member, I regrettably inform you that a number of our staff members (including various administrators and advisors) have been detained for providing our mod team with information that was not supposed to be released to the public. Unknown to us and those members who I cannot personally name, the intelligence services in the U.K. and United States have been monitoring the activities of our team since late 2004. It has been only in the last few days however that we were informed that some of our members, and in turn our organization was in violation of existing Ministry of Defense and Department of Defense doctrines and that they had been detained for questioning in relation to this matter. Until further notice we have also been ordered to suspend all further work on the mod, and suspend our internet site. Two documents have been released regarding the matter by the MoD to the interior press; they follow below. lol, i got onto one of the al basarh servers... and all the sudden i hear "OMG!!!! MINISTRY OF DEFENSE IS SHUTTING DOWN PR!!!! WTF????"
some of the dev's or some of the [R-Con] people were out of the know... cause they were scared even more shitless than i was..... |

Absolute classic prank. Even I fell for it until, I spotted two errors.
1. The word "defense" or in the UK "defenCe" I know it isnt in the images but in the "writ-up" as it was concerning UK personell, defence would have been spelled with 'C' not an 'S'. 2. Money - on the letters it says payed $1000, well as it is UK based from the MoD, it would have been £500. Other than that. I was completely fooled. I must say very well done!!! WHERE WAS THIS YEARS????????????? |

Ah yes... I remember discussing this with my freind today while we were comparing the best april fools stories. It was odd being so out of the loop when all the planning took place, and then being banned for 24 hours I think it was. If it wasnt an excuse to be upset and confused, then what is?
