found this out in the desert any body can tell me what kind of round it is i think its a tank or arterilly round

ya well the every were you go in california is or use to be a firing range lol

That is may still be considered dangerous you know, unless it was a practise round (usually painted blue)

ya i know i check for a detanator cap or all that it was heavy as hell so it was proble soild

Those things are extremely dangerous. You should never touch any unexploded ordinance.

But anyways, it looks like an artillery round to me

If you find yourself very rapidly at home, it's a live round. If you don't , take it home

Leave all ordnance on ranges, don't take it home. The stupidest things have happened over time with people bringing artillery rounds home and using them as doorstops for 10-40 years before someone points it out and the bomb squad have to pay a visit..
