This is something I am interested in as well.

I need to know what program (if any) I need to make those nice pics and how to make them into a SIG like everyone else has!!

All input greatly appreciated!!!

Well, any picture is ideally in around the same proportions as the end result (for these forums, that would probably be around 450x120), but larger (e.g. 900x240). Downsizing never hurts, but making a small pic large makes it looks pixelly. Also, a larger picture is easier to edit usually.

Also, I would definetely recommend you try out www.pixel2life.com, there are some amazing tutorials there.

As a last hint, know what you want to show. Crop and place wisely. There is often no way back. (Unless you make regular saves, which I always forget.) Take a look at my sig. Had I moved the littlebird (the most important piece of the sig) farther left it would have been partly hidden behind the dogtags and the sig would have looked crappy.

The program I use is Adobe Photoshop (which is rather expensive). You could try Adobe Photoshop Elements, which is cheaper and easier to learn but comes with less fancy stuff.
There are also a lot of other, sometimes even free, programs out there but Photoshop is what I have (good) experience with.

Also, a good program is paint.net, it's formed around Photoshop's basic elements, but done in a diff language, and FREE. (It's still not as good though, I myself use PS for it, if I could jsut find good pics).
