AGP Video Card
So I have a $75 gift card for best buy and a total of around $200 to spend, including the card. I currently have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and am not looking to get an entire new computer for some time. However for my last half a year before college I wanted to get something better than medium/low settings for PR.
First of all, will the upgrade make much of a difference? Anyway, I am limited to AGP - and BestBuy to use the gift card. So, what would the best card be under those constraints? Sidenote: I have a P4 2.66ghz and 1.5GB RAM. |

But avg cards are getting pretty dated and......wait that means you should be able to get something pretty cheap but then you will have to shell out again whe you upgrade. =/

Either way I will get an entire new computer some day. That dosn't change the fact that I'd like a small upgrade now.

Not the mutts nuts but on sale, AGP and within your target price, will run your games fine. |

Thanks. I'm wondering what the difference is from the following products (besides the large difference in price):
VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2600 PRO Graphics Card - V2600POC512AG VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2600 Pro Edition Graphics Card - B226P256AG (256 MB but more expensive)? VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2600 Pro Edition Graphics Card - B226P512AGP |

They are all essentially the same chip, the differences are with the speed the Ram runs at and other tweaks that may have been made since launch.

Oh ok, thanks! They all fill within my range but I'd like the best compared to me old 9800 Pro. I just remember when I got it it was around $200
I might go for the XT, although I'm not sure how much better it is than the one you posted. At any rate, it's on sale as well for $160 while it's usually $230. |
