insurgency : point of view (my one)

so oka u see all the great videos about insurgency that was ranked 1 in the mods awards..but this game is definitely better.. so i saw all the videos on you tube and all this and i thought looks decent I'll give it a go..

so i deleted pr and bf2 (space) and i thought to my self i hope i haven't made a bad choice so i got to the insurgency web site got it downloading waited half an hr for it to download and thought yh oka lets get started.. so i got it running and i thought hmm looks good.. got to the loading screen and the firewall being as it is saying wanna keep blocking or unblock insurgency or w/e i clicked ok unblock... so i went back onto insurgency and guess what i couldn't see nothing only my mouse i waited 5 mins and nothing happened i could hear music playing but nothing besides my mouse appearing...

so i exited and restart the game clicked on the same server and it finally loaded after 2 songs.. witch is about 6mins wait got on and started messing around with the controls seeing that c throws my weapon on the floor (ask yourself y have this feature on a game?) so im staring at my gun on the floor think how the **** do i pick it back up well u cant u drop it tuff **** i think there is a way to but not sure how.. wasn't in game controls (<< help full.

so i just did a suicide jihad run with a knife and got turned into holy cheese.... anyway i now knew to stay away from the C button n i found the guns where amazingly accurate Evan on fully automatic so i got a few kills and got bored of the map so i joined another room this room had a big cave init n a mining mill out side i thought looks fun picked my weapons customized my character n what happens i start seeing a slide show of the map and i see every one playing there's no buttons on the slideshow
to stop it or anything there's nothing at all to stop it so u reload the map and it works i thought finally im on so i played for about half hr and got to the point where i wanted another weapon but unlike pr u cant just run up to a fire base n select drop u have to die so i did another suicide attempt

that worked so my screen went all screwy n that os i had to get out and start again so i get back to the server i was on and well.. it happens again i get the slides show.. so i reload the map and it happens again 3 times i did this... still dint work.. so i thought this game just isn't good at all.

oka so.. after all that reading your eyes must be hurting
so hears the good and bad points about pr and insurgency
project reality (should of come first!)good
1. fast paced fighting.
2. long range and close fighting
3. has vehicles that are fun to drive..(suicide cars! who hasn't drove one of them shouting Allah?)
4.you actually have to aim at them either using your iorn site or scope
5. change weapons easily....
6.squads work as a team.
7. map's are big!
project reality: bad
1. aww hell naw no space in the rover... o well walk now..
2. squad limitations that sucks..
3. jihads always shout abuse at you when ur British..
4. long loading times bt that's oka for the game play is good
insurgency: good
1. small maps..
2.you get to set up your machine gun on a ledge and have accuracy that you could hit a pin from miles off..
3.you have to reload your gun your self
4. blasting some one in the face actually hurts them...
5. less spongy jihads
6.you can lean round corners (like that)
7. customize your character
insurgency: bad:evil:
1. game gives pointless slide shows..
2. drop your gun and fight like a man... and not survive..
3. small maps...
4. guns are way to accurate
5. grenades effect your HUD through walls
6. you have a limit of squads (2)
7.no vehicles
concluding summery..
this is a descent game if you like playing small maps and dropping your gun. on the floor and having to stare at it wishing you could pick it back up
pr is 10 times better it has vehicles propa team work and tactics more weapons to choose from.. so in my top mods id say pr comes first followed by insurgency followed by gmod...

Welcome to the forums! Yeah, Im not too big on insurgency either, but meh. I *think* G is the pick up weapon key... but thats probably not right. I know I had the same thing happen a few times.

Insurgency really just seemed like a buggy "mod" of CS:S. I love CS:S[yes, i know it started as a typical mod] but Insurgency just doesnt fell good at all to me. Clunky, poor maps imho, I always get stuck on things, running alongside your own guys makes you constantly stop and stutter <-- thats my biggest HL annoyance...

just fyi for the future, use more paragraphs and periods. Im serious, no one wants to read something that is a wall of text. Its too hard to go from line to line.

Agreed with okita about paragraph's and you kind of contradicted yourself about dropping the weapons :P

You can drop guns and pick up new ones im more than sure. I think. Maybe.

Just ask someone in game. After the first 5 people bite your head off someone will tell you.

iv got 2 accounts on my pc and the ones is almost full for college n that iv got a Pentium 4 process er n 111 gig memory but this computer has had to have things changed a lot yh and iw as kinda tryping it up so i wouldent forget eny bits lol but i have done some editing n that so need i say more?

yh just to add to that part where you throw your wepon on the floor actuly might have a use... lets say u run out of ammo? so whats the closest thing to a bullet....

the thing that fires it.. so just throw your guns at em..if it hurts em it can kill em? right least its better then untieing your shoe n throwing that at them lol.

for some reson this game (insurgancy) reminds me of arma...
just the way the charatars am set out..
oh and the part you get stuck on things?

4. guns are way to accurate rephrasing that to "Way too easy to aim" since PR guns are accurate as hell too, if settled
5. grenades effect your HUD through walls Probably shock wave
6. you have a limit of squads (2) Irrelevant since you have a max of 16 players per side
7.no vehicles on small maps?

That's my opinion on most of your points.
Anyway, my point is you can't compare the two as they offer very different gameplay. PR rounds are big, they can take hours. Insurgency is more a "I feeling in the mood for this, I'll give it a go for 30mins till [insert real life action here]" type of game.
Although my personal opinion on the realism factor is that you can't actually get a truly realistic game depicting war with Insurgency's gameplay. Small maps and practically symmetrical teams just don't suggest anything related to that war as it is portrayed by any credible source.
But none the less, it IS quality, occasionally gets some teamwork and shooting people can be pretty fun. What's the problem in that?
