Insurgency has a lot of potential, but at the moment it's just a bit of a let down. It feels like a really bad copy of Americas Army... which happens to be free.

I've played it for a few hours and feel that it does have potential but it is definitely an arcade FPS under the guise of "realism" and "team work" (the catch phrases of the gaming industry these days it seems ).

Weapons are way too accurate and game play is reminiscent of DoD/CS. Little team work and even less time to organize an assault or defense. Needs bigger maps or greatly reduced accuracy so its actually harder to hit something then it is now.

Game play is simply spawn , charge out , maybe shoot a couple of players , get shot and resapwn. Rinse and repeat.

IMO its a good DoD/CS replacement but definitely doesn't come close to PRM or ArmedA for realism or immersion.

But give it time..may improve.
