R.I.P. Netscape Navigator....*whisper* bout f'ing time!*

Have to pay your respects to the browser that started it all...Netscape is officially done. I'm a bit late stumbling upon this...but I figured I might not be the only one who's a month behind .

Netscape had its time helping to liberate us from the dreaded monopoly (and laziness) of Internet Explorer. May it rest in peace.
It died knowing that Firefox a healthier and stronger child took its place in the battle

I remember using that thing in primary school, didnt like to load some web pages =(

Firefox is just miles better, it pains me to use IE now, I actually have to do stupid complicated stuff which is not needed like typing in 'www.' and their tab system is pure crap, also its slow as hell and there are no addons for it, I just wish Firefox went a little easier on the memory usage.

Fully agree, I only started using mozilla a month ago- and I was simply amazed at how I ever got through the day without it.

We will never forget Netscape knowing that lots of it is still in Firefox!

I use firefox, but it's such a resource hog, it's shocking that even a microsoft product uses less system power. But than, firefox is the ferrari of browsers ^^

Then again, microsoft's browser (I will not mention its blasphemic name!) is completely built-in (explorer) and loaded ALL the time. Firefox isn't, only when I want it to .

But anyways, Netscape is dead. Didn't even know it still existed. I thought it died when giving birth to Firefox .

The reason firefox apears to be a resource hog is because it caches most of the web pages you visit for fast reloading of them, you can reduce or disable that feature.

In actual fact firefox its self only uses 220kb~ ram xulrunner (google it) is what uses up a lot more ram.

Netscape was the best thing to happen to internet browsing.
