Unreal Engine 3 insult - Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (56k warning)

Just a warning in the beginning: I have never played the game and after seeing this screenshots I'm not even planing to.

I'm sure that most of you heard about the Unreal Engine 3.
If not you might guess that it's one of the most advanced engines up to date.
In my opinion a game called Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (catchy name, isn't it) is just a total insult to the engine's developers.

I'll let the screenshots speak for them-selfs:

- This is actually one of the only screenshots that looked OK. After a better look I found the following:
  • All the distant building suffer the effect of extremely low polygon count. Reminds me of 5 years old Mafia
  • The building on background have no textures whatsoever...

- I don't even dare to comment the ground texture. Apparently it's just a Google Earth snapshot placed on a single plane. The intersection in background looks, well ridiculous at least.

- I thought this is one of the screens without any issue at first. Then I saw the dude's hand ju st floating above the pipe. No good for a 2008 game IMO.

- Oh my...somebody save me from the muzzleflash. Looks more like a screamsprayer this way than an SMG.
Besides, I thought that using textures for muzzle flashes has been 'out' for a few years already. And besides, even Vietcong's (2003) flash looks better: http://www.armchairempire.com/images...vietcong-4.jpg
Also note the floating gun behind the flash (I know that it would most likely fall down to the ground, but physical laws say that not this way. Guns in 2001's DeusEx did the same...) and the German's helmet. Unless he has some kind of blob on back of his head, nice glitch.

- Somebody missed an English lesson ?

- The mighty creamsprayer back in action.
Plus the light glitches on the Chrysler building.

- This whole scene is ridiculous. The way the dude on left is 'standing' makes my (non-existant) dog cry.

- Muzzleflash back in action.
Note the absence of any bump mapping on the celling.
The gun ejects cartridges in ridiculous place. Maybe a 'feature' though

- There we go again. No bumpmapping at all. The screws and lines looks terrible this way. The whole texture seems to be way too small - note the pixelating at the plane designation.

- This picture is not worth commenting at all.

I think the motto for this game should be:
Welcome to the past...

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

You're probably not playing it at full-spec. It looks much better on the 360.

But it still looks crap.

Whats the gameplay worth ? did you even take a second to ask yourself that question before putting the game down in flames ?

Because I'm sorry but the "OMG look the hand is floating above the pipe rather sticking to it !! I ain't playing that game !!" attitude is a bit the reason we have so many sucky games today ... its all about graphics rather then the game depth.

3/10 says it all, doesn't it ?

Reason why I posted this is that I'm shocked how much they can hype a game that
a) surely looks like crap
b) apparently plays as crap (3/10 rating)

Is this supposed to be the famous next-gen ?

I also don't understand how they can pay thousands of dollars for a game engine that they won't even use to its potential ?

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

That looks terrible, no lie. I don't mind non-uber graphics (I have an 8400, seriously), but all the glitching etc above is just ugly as crap. But then again, there's always lame and bad games that come out, you just avoid them.
