Anyone going to get this? I hated ArmA's engine, and since these guys are starting from the ground up, maybe it will fix stuff?

Got China in this time, so we're not fighting...more Russians!

What is it with making poor ol' China as a viable threat? Its a top UN member and worlds leading exporter and still every body wants to see them virtually killed

Something is definitely wrong with game designers. Whats wrong with North Korea, I mean NOBODY likes them and they have no friends but arent featured anywhere. Well before this gets political: yay!! OFP 2 is coming and finally freedom from the craptastic turd show that is ARMA

Not realisticly, but yeah, they are in Crysis.

I havnt been following OFP2, but I doubt it will reach the bar that OFP did. Hopefully most mods working on ArmA will consider OFP2, if it does prove better.

cos put it simply china is a super power more or less, north korea is not.

Indeed, Also they have a huge manpower base giving any game involving them lots of scope.

Hopefully OFP2 won't have the same retarded outdated animation system that ArmA has that pretty much ruins the game

What was so great about OpFp? I tried it once and thought it was awful.

Try it again then - it's one of the best games ever made (a classic up there with Deus Ex and Halflife etc.). And from a purely educational PoV, the game even today is revolutionary in its scope and implementation by a poor rookie Eastern European studio. On the other hand Armed Assault was a shameless cash grab by the original developers and a shoddy product at that ... then again, I have very limited faith in Operation Flashpoint 2

Yeah

A war between the US and North Korea would last all of 2 weeks(unless China gets involved).

This game looks sweet but i think we all are going to need to sell our bodies to get a PC that can run it well.
