EARTHQUAAAAAAKE!

Well, more like tremors really...

BBC NEWS | England | Earth tremor felt across England

Anybody else feel 'em? It was the first tremor I've felt (although a few happened when I was younger that I don't remember).

It was completely weird, a bit like having a large truck go past and rumbling your floor and windows - except I quickly realised the entire flat was shaking.

Desk and my chair really wobbled (lol this sounds so lame), and my monitors almost fell off the desk.

Epicentre was about 30 miles away from me, so it was pretty close.

Really really odd sensation, can't quite describe it.

Anyone else feel it?

I remember that I was living in an apartment building on the side of a large hill with my balcony looking over a ~300-500 foot drop, and my building was bending from side to side during the earthquake, it was pretty cool

I was just down here watching a bit of the old telly box when my dad comes down and asks if I felt the rumbles. I was kinda like "Errrr, what are you talking about?".

Nah lol, I'm on a chair, feet perched on the back of the sofa.

You know, this is going to be on the national news tomorrow and everybody's going to make a HUGE deal of it. Then it'll happen in Turkey again in a few months except it'll be nine on the richter scale and we'll just be saying "Yeah but... We had tiles fall off the roofs".

I live in practically the most geologically stable part of the planet, haven't ever gotten to feel any kind of tremor. *Crosses figures and hopes that this post summons one*

Same with me, at least I thought. But some years ago we had (a light) one.

And I missed it: I was inside a tramway, and when I got out, all the guys in the street were looking astonished b/c there had been a slight earthquake.

I, of course did not notice, b/c the tramway was shaking even more by itself...
