Exclamation British Army Career - Need advice asap

I'm stuck as to what career to take in the BAF... i would enjoy infantry however the army infantry requires a BARB score of minimum 25, whereas i got 68... so i don't wanna be in a division with less bright people who might get me in trouble.

What is the highest BARB score? If you have taken it, what did you get?

I have a print-out with 82 jobs, i am pretty sure its a list of every job possible sinse i had a high score. It shows job/vacancies/GTI which is BARB score i think, the highest i see on here for GTI is 2 jobs on GTI 58, which are:

RLC - SE Ammunition Tech
RAMC - SE Radiographer

I see other ones with GTI 55
Inf Sldr - Kings/Light/Queens/Para Div... which sounds high-up rank or whatever... and i guess the other two jobs with GTI-58 are very important needing somoene reliable.

I'm just wondering why i haven't thought about SAS Infantry or RAF-Pilot

I want to make a big difference (someone important and a job needing someone reliable), and i would always dream of being in a helicopter whether it be pilot/gunner... or in a SAS infantry team/sniper

What about you? or what can you suggest to me?

(tomorrow i neeed to give my CA 3 jobs that i want)

You need to be in the Infantary/Paras for at least 5 years to join the SAS...
If i were you id try for an Army Apache pilot/gunner.

If you aren't going in as an officer and have a higher than average IQ I'd say go for a job with a corp that will give you training and qualifications that will help you when you get out of the army? Technician jobs with REME or Signals. A lot of people get telecommunications training and certificates and when they get out go to work for cable/telecoms companies with 4 times the wage.

Personally, I would join the Air Corps as a soldier, if you impress your CO and do a good job, you may end up getting to fly Apaches, after you leave you could probably make a decent amount of money as a civi helicopter pilot and ex-army bodyguard for celebrities.

Yes, what i really want to do is helicopter gunner... but first i want to take it slowly, try infantry, get more fit + qualifications, and after 2 years maybe to actually gun... then 2 years later to join the SAS as inf/sniper/heli still...

so im thinking... 2 years avionics tech -> 2 years heli gunner (i guess apache or maybe if lynx still used, tho defo want apache ) -> SAS...

tbh i never wish to ever think about being civilian.. army for life

edit: aiming for pilot at aged 18 without having being in cadets or etc etc for RAF is kinda unlikely you will be able to fly until some years (therefore meaning its probably best to do what i said above)

please correct me if im wrong or have better ideas (i dont mind going to war)

Get something with a trade, and remember that everything the recruiter tells you is a lie, unless its written down and signed. In triplicate.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
