Lawlz at all the locked threads today

Haha, The second I opened up the general discussions forum, heres the link:
general disscusionzz I laughed pretty hard.

At least half of the threads today have been locked. Apparently it a lot of people's time of the month.

Heh, today was the day quite a few R-MOD's got their PR toasters.
Glad someone else made this thread or I probably would have ended up doing it.

Anyone venture a guess as to why today? Did I miss something?

It's just a bunch of reposts alongside a few topics where flaming escalated.

Nothing that we did wrong today. More members = more reposts and less searching, and that translates to locking. That, and there is an above average level of flaming recently, that means more locked threads. If you feel that a moderator has locked a thread prematurely, or you have a problem, please feel free to PM a moderator.

Does there have to be a reason? Can't we just create threads to be locked because we can? Hahaha.

Yeah, I opened this thread and was looking through the general discussion simultaneously, and I seriously did a double take when every other thread was locked.

But I agree with Dylan, not a mod problem. Definitely a member problem.

No shit. So the mods got lock happy. It happens from time to time.

I haven't gone to the general discussion section in a while and I have to say the people there posting now seem like a bunch of idiots(same goes for a few other forums I post at). In my experience the people posting in the off topic sections always seem to be the most interesting and intelligent. Perhaps that's because they usually have interests in things outside just video games. Not being elitist or anything.

I don't think it's that we're lock happy, it's that they're happy to get locked. Hence, the large amount of stupid topics...and the large amount of locked ones.
