Army Medical & Bronchitis

Ive been to the docs and i have "mild bronchitis" and i have a medical on tuesday. Anybody know if i could fail because of this?

Bronchiectasis is not the same as bronchitis. Bronchiectasis is a chronic and irreversible condition, while mild bronchitis is just a respiratory infection that is treatable and will generally go away in a few days.

You're probably good to go.

I just soiled myself yeh i got mild bronchitis. I know that it wont stop me getting into the forces but im just hoping it wont delay my medical because i need to be on a selection weekend in febuary n if i fail this medical it could be a few months b 4 i get another in which case ill miss selection and have to wait for agies, cheers

Bronchitis will not disqualify you, its just a symptom of a respiratory infection- you can get it with a bad cold etc.

Grab some antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs (e.g. paracetamol/ibuprofen)

Bronchiectasis is not the same, it is deformation of the bronchial tubes, whereas broonchitis is just inflammation due to infection (and really the doctor isn't entirely sure of ur exact illness but knowing won't help you get better faster really)

Respect the R-Staff, they are pretty...pretty badass
so, if you don't like PR, get a refund

Yeah as said above Bronchiestasis and Bronchitis are very different. I'd just try to pump fluids and rest for the next few days and you should be fine in to time. How far is selection from your exam? If its more than 1-2 weeks I doubt they'd fail you because of Bronchitis.
