BF2/PR + CPU Question

I'm gonna start purchasing new parts of my puter soon, so i was wondering if you're gonna have any problems with quadcores on BF2, if so what would be the wisestdual cored processor to get ? price doesnt really matter, aslong as its not over 4000KR, that would be like 400?450$ ? but cheaper the better of course :P

I have a Quad and haven't had a problem with it, for the price of them ~£150-£200 its worth them for the games to be released in '08' that will be multicore optimized, but you cant go much wrong with a fast Dualcore

Yeah you can always go for a 3.0ghz dual core. Its cheaper and will more that fill your needs for quite a while(a year or two).

Yeah, quadcore will not be a problem. BF2 has problems using more than one core sometimes (but you can force it to use 1 core), and in the future games will definitely be multi-core optimized.

There is no better case out right now than the Antec P182.
Just a clean looking case with no tacky stuff that does what it is supposed to very well. Extreamly quiet, almost completely. Moves tons of air. Huge inside with plenty of room to work and more than enough room for whatever upgrades you could want, including watercooling or the new graf. cards that are super long. I have worked on a lot of cases and it is my fav., so I bought one for my rig. You can route all your wires behind the motherboard so that none are showing at all. VERY clean looking and even better airflow. One of the best parts I have ever bought.

They had it on sale last week for $99, and that sales comes and goes very often, almost every other week it seems.
I also have had no problems with a quad core, and am very happy. You do need to know though that intel is releasing new chips, actually some like the e8400 are already poping up in stores. They are drooling overthem in tech forums, and review sites are in love. Best of all they are the same price for even faster ones than the current ones.
Here are the release dates.

I would make sure to get one of those. One guy in a forum had a e8400 up to 4.7 on air, that is from a stock 3.0 and selling for $186. THAT IS JUST CRAZY!!!

2 Videocards and i have been asking around if i should get a soundcard aswell with the system.. he told me unless you do sound engineering, music or w/e there's no need for it. so basicly i wont have any better sound experience with a better soundcard than the one onboard the motherboard

I also might buy a another CPU cooler, when overclocking is needed

The system goes for about

15000Kronor so that would be around 2300$.. I suppose i wont have to upgrade it for a while.. will show pictures once it arrives

Make sure the Quad Core is the G0 stepping one, it can be overclocked to 3.6ghz! Going to play with mine tonight, I'll be happy if I can get a stable 3ghz though.
