- Very flexible

- According to wikipedia, there are more than 100 games titles coming or already made on this engine.

- Epic’s vice president said that they are looking into selling some of the mods. They will take roalties but it might be possible to actually earn something if your mod is good

- PS3 owners can download your mod and play it on their console (not sure how well this actually works)

- Indoor, large outdoors and vehicles possible
man I just went onto the UT3 website and I was just simply blow away by there site and on the about page all the little clips of the game features etc, I am soo impressed I'm downloading the demo now hehe.

I have read all your articles and a few at game-artist about starting up a mod, recruiting and such, and I have begon to edit what I have so that I follow most of the advice, along with some research of my plan/idea - there will probably be a link to a survey in mig sig soon

Thanks again, this is good stuff. I just have to hold back my "eagerness" , I tend to get excited sometimes, which may appear as unprofessional.

I believe this is the next development in the game industry, as it give games an added life time while still bringing revenue to the companies.

This is the sort of thing which will revolutionize the industry like the "Demo" did as its a win-win-win situation for the Company, the modders and the players. And its also a leap forward for general quality.

The only acceptable 'Lone Wolf' you'll be allowed to play :

That's what Valve has been doing, like forever They are the true pioneers in that respect... props to Epic for jumping on the train though...

Just what I posted on GA that I needed help/experience in.
I'll consider if my student budget can manage the book, but it does sound interesting, and I'm sure it would improve my work (... a lot).
