xps 420 configuration
Before you say anything about making my own, my dad won't let me he said hes buying a dell.

Is this good?

This is a dell xps 420.. I'm unsure about the 8800 gt. If any one can tell me if it's good or not thanks. I looked and it is good compared to the gtx.

Considering that system is almost exactly like mine, I would say, yes. The 8800 GT > GTX imo, because its cheaper, almost as good, AND supports pci express 2.0. Get it.

Getting almost the same thing but with 2 GB and a different processor and a 8800 GTS. Looks like a sweet machine

Dell is actually good. The only computers I hate are hp and alienware.

Also is widescreen bad? I'm going to get the 20 inch or maybe if my dad says yes the 22 inch for $10 more. Also will wide screen work with games that don't use wide screen.

you are aware that dell owns alienware.. right?

IRT widescreen.

I love it personally. some games (BF2 Included) don't support widescreen resolutions. However, most recent games do. But hey, I'll take your 20inch widescreen and I'll send you my 17inch crt I've got sitting around.

Sigh is it bad if the 420 doesnt support sli? Will one gpu card do fine?
