Move over Queenie, Beckhams coming on!

Will this cause more people to listen to the Queens message? Or is this some sick, twisted manipulation of an uncaring public who would rather hear a carefully prerecorded Q&A interview with a media star in football?

Sports is good, athletes are needed in this country. But theres only room for so many as there are only so many teams and having all our kids out on the fields vying to be what they cannot isn't much better than those primary/junior school age kids spending 3hrs a day on consoles and not reading books, therefore depriving themselves of literacy, future education and possible careers in an ever expensive world. We simply aren't building enough council properties for these kids to move into when they of course fail in 99.8% of cases.

BBC Radio 2 has signed up David Beckham as the centrepiece of its festive schedule - when he will follow the Queen's annual Christmas Day message.
Beckham will answer listener questions in the two-hour show, hosted by Kate Thornton, called David Beckham's Line of Enquiry.
Listeners are being invited to send in questions for the former England captain for the pre-recorded show, which will air at 3pm on Christmas Day, and begin with the Queen's Christmas message.
"David signing up to do this is a real coup. I am merely the ref, and yes, I do know the offside rule," said Thornton, the former presenter of ITV1's The X-Factor.

"We're delighted David has agreed to open himself up and take listeners' questions, so if they have something they want to ask him they can get in touch and get involved."
The Queen's Christmas Message will air on BBC1 and ITV1 at 3pm.
