First Strike mod Community Game this Sunday (Dec. 2)! - Page 2

Just had a quick game, joined a random server with 2 pubs. Wow, I wiped 'em with ease. Even had the old "HACKER HACKER" taunt thrown my way. For PR players going to play this mod, use the sniper (3 shots per 2 seconds) and 2 hit kills, with a uber pistol for suppression and cqc. You will feel right at home.

Yeah, the pistol is disturbingly effective. Accuracy, long range, decent rate of fire, high damage. Anyone else than me starting to wonder if it should be nerfed just a little?

i tryed this mod but i got over it it limited and there is basicly no team play, the levels are mostly tiny. get boring pritty quick.

The two things that come to mind here are the lack of boarding in space maps and the lack of a combined arms map with tanks and fighter-bombers. Both of these will be addressed.

Far less than in PR, for sure. But the mod has lots of teamplay mechanisms, and if you hunt down someone with a mic, you should have lots of fun. I think teamwork will increase as people grow familiar with the mod and realize teamwork greatly helps you.

The mod consists of five maps, of which two are 8x8km space maps, which are not tiny in any sense of the word. The remaining three are Mos Espa, which I'd not call tiny, Endor, which is also fairly big, and Mos Entha, which admittedly is a bit cramped. Overall, I don't understand this part of your criticism.

You have to remember that this mod is only at v1.1,give it time and it will grow.By v6.0 we should a brillant mod on our hands

Just stick with it,it's one of my favorite mods and although there isn't a huge amount of teamplay I still love it.
Also if you can go pubbing with the same people regularly it is great fun.Me and ZaZZo go pubbing every now and then and since we both have mics it's double the fun.

And just to remind everyone that this match/game is on tonight at 7:00 GMT so be there!

Yes, it's an early mod. I'm just a tester, not a developer, and I've agreed to an NDA, but without going into details I can (hopefully) tell you that future versions will not only add more content, but also more depth to the existing features.

As it is, it's mostly infantry-only with light vehicles such as the combat speeder, speeder bike and AT-ST thrown in for the land maps, and capital ships and fighters for the space maps. Just so everyone knows.

I missed it becasue it was so addicting to pwn groudn targets with my bf-109 in BGF mod

I'll try to be there next time though
