Hackers Use Banner Ads to Hijack Your PC

http://www.wired.com/techbiz/media/n...11/doubleclick

If you guys want to disable doubleclick, AdTariff or any other 3rd party spy/malware cookies that end up on the list after a Spy Bot A&D or Ad Aware scan, to ever appear again:

- On IE, go to view/privacy report/settings
- On the "Web Sites" box, click Edit
- Add the address in the block column
- After adding as many as you want click OK

To obtain the actual address; google the spy bots name. Add .com .net etc after the spy bots name in Google field to find the site. (for example: AdTariff.com) then add the full URL that you reach via Google.

If you go slap happy and block any important cookies go back and reinstate the site.

For FireFox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/secu...priv_help.html
it's a bit more complicated or at least you have many more choices as well as some really great cookie editor plug-ins as well as HTTP header decoding tools if you really want to See the cookies sent by remote sites

CRUSH THE BLACK HATS!

To add:

I ended up putting an adblocker (one of the firefox recommended addons) on my browser finally. Websites now load up at least 3 times faster.
Its worth while doing if not nothing else but that.

Firefox + Adblock Plus + NoScript = no annoying ads and/or malicious scripts

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

No Rhino, because you've already opened that port and authorized that action.
