Crysis Reviews

Seems to be reviewed pretty well so far.

Gamespot scored it a 9.5, so it can't be that bad lol.

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/cr...om_clk=topslot

IGN scored it a 9.4, so it seems that the average is around the mid 90s.

http://pc.ign.com/articles/834/834614p1.html

I didn't even know it came out today. Sucks that I got to wait to the end of the week to receive my new videocard and pc stepup. I will be playing this and PR hardcore though when my stuff comes.

i refuse to buy it and play the SP until i get my new rig.. no sense in playing it on all low

Katie Couric, while interviewing a Royal Marine sniper, asked:
"What do you feel when you shoot an Arab Terrorist?"

The Marine shrugged and replied , "A slight recoil."

Even on low, it still looks as good as Far Cry(supposedly), so it shouldn't be that bad. I wish I could play anygame right now, but I am confined to the laptop.

Can't beleive gamespot gave Crysis a 9.5 while they gave Half Life 2 a 9.8. I mean sure HL2 was great and all, but Crysis has everything HL2 had and a heck of a lot more. Not a very fair score in my opinion.

Alas, after initially seeing the eye candy that the engine produced (back when they released the first renders/ingame shots) it sealed the deal for me. I was late to the HL2 scene, but after buying it loved the entire premise of the series, and regret somewhat not having had rig enough to play HL back in the day. lol

I pre-ordered my copy lastnight with 2 day shipping, so I'm quite eager to see if everything thats being said about it is as groundbreaking (physics/lighting/etc) as its made out to be. Gonna try my hand at various ways of playing as well of course Solid Snake, here I come. Rambo, don't worry you'll get some playtime too.

After seeing on another forum that someone had set Crysis to all full settings and getting an Avg. of 45 FPS I asked them what their system specs were. Q6600 (quad-core), 4Gig DDR3 RAM, and 2 SLIed 8800GT Ultras....

Guess I'll need to cut out the dynamic shadows and lighting, but everything else can go max for me

Uhh, do you mean Halo was rated as a 9.8?

Half-Life 2 was rated a 9.2 by Gamespot.

It doesn't really matter what 8series card or cards you have, the game will probably not run well at max settings as in Very High. I know a lot of people are able to play High around 20-35FPS with an 8800GT/GTS640/GTX depending on what res though.
