I played the demo a few times (on delta, like Fortnight), and it seems pretty good, but I really don't find it that revolutionary. I mean, I like the way there is the option to play either stealthy or rambo-esque, but other than that, IMO it's just another (really good looking) FPS.

Also, I'd just like to ask: is anyone else not looking forward to the part with the gigantor space-alienz? That was the one thing that really ruined Far-Cry for me; the gigantic ape-human with a rocket launcher for an arm, that takes 20+ shots from a sniper rifle to kill.

Oh well, Either way, I'm still looking forward to playing it, and I'm sure it'll give me some decent hours of play time.

P.S. I hate the kevlar-wearing Koreans... I mean... I'm wearing a nanosuit! It shouldn't take an equal amount of shots for a random (apparently armorless) grunt to kill me, than for me to kill him!

... 10 hour gaming spree... Was awesome.

It has everything I had expected, and the story was great, the gameplay was good, and the graphics are unbeatable. Not quite finished with the game, but close I assume. The zero gravity level made me dizzy, and I feel quite ill so I am going to cut this short. If you get this game, you are going to have a great time.

I am also not looking forward to the aliens part. Will probably play the Koreans part over and over like I did the mercs part in FarCry.

FYI, Circuit City has the game for $39, plus you get a $10 gift card for free, so just about the best deal around right now.

Anyone who's saying that rounds to the body don't do enough damage, take off your fooking silencer. With the silencer on (if you've checked the XML), you'll do 0 damage at 47.5 meters with the huge amount of damage drop. Without the silencer, you can pick guys off at 250+m with abandon.

Does a silencer really lower damage (bullet velocity?) that much IRL? I always thought that games like Crysis over exaggerated it a little much, but then again, I really know nothing about ballistics and the like.

Plus I like my silencer... stupid enemies didn't know what hit them!

The silencer has to slow down the velocity of the bullet in order to make it quieter, so yes, it probably would do less damage in real life. The only time you are going to need a silencer anyway is if you are up close.
