Ow my bad, you’re right it was Halo that got a 9.8. But Still it’s even worse that they give Halo a higher score than a ground breaking advancement in gaming technology such as Crysis.

It probably got that score because it was an excellent console game and there weren't many games like it at the time on console. I think they rate most of the games according to how groundbreaking they are on their platforms. Like Half-Life 2, while having groundbreaking physics, story, graphics etc. at the time, it didn't really have any groundbreaking AI for instance.

Pretty much every point you made there, crysis has. Not many games like crysis, its groundbraking, it has the AI/Physics and a pretty good story and last but not least, the graphics.

Yea, it should of probably been rated higher, but the amount of hardware you need probably made them rate it a little lower since only the hardcore gamers will have it for a while.

And what I said above this was about Halo and HL2's ratings, not Crysis.

That was exactly my point, halo was rated higher but yet Crysis has everything halo does.

Except dumb FaNbOi's who are buying it because of the name, not the content.

Yea, but what I said pertained to that. Halo was rated higher because on the console, it is innovative. It is not rated based on other PC games because it is a console game. Crysis is rated compared to other pc games, not console games, and it scored a 9.5 which is pretty high for pc game ratings.

Back on topic, I've been playing Crysis SP for most of the day on Delta, and must say its pretty cool. The visuals are of course stunning. IDK if its just me or what, maybe because its on Delta IDK, but are all the North Koreans wearing kevlar?? body shots do nothing to these guys and the only way to bring em down, is the good old "boom headshot!"

I even have a tactic now (that I've perfected), lol if you come across a heavy concentration of soldiers (3+) and want to take them 'head on' without run'n'gun. get to a spot where you have clear sight lines on them, but are at the same time able to conceal yourself behind something (preferably something that is waist high at most) then using the handy-dandy cloak feature, you stand up in plain sight and take aim for the nearest (or furthest) head in view, as you squeeze off a round into their melon, press your prone key and instantly disappear from sight without them really knowing what the hell happened. Wait for your suit's energy to return to normal, cloak and repeat.

I find myself taking the concealed approach more often when playing at this difficulty level, because as I have found, there is an exponential correlation between the difficulty setting and the number of times one tends to save (at least in my case) because its just a pain in the ass to have cleared through a sector, only to be picked off by some little turd who got around behind you (because you didn't recon EVERYWHERE with the binocs and get a digital lock on him. hehe) and then have to do it all over again. I spend most of my time listening to "energy critical", "maximum armor", and "cloaking active". Besides jumping I have rarely needed to use the Maximum strength feature of the suit, and I only use "max speed" in the odd instance I need to turn tail and run because I didn't leave myself a big enough exit out of a situation.

Story-wise its def. original, but I'd have to say it has yet to impress me on the level that HL2 did. Some parts are HALO-esque because of the suit, but again man those visuals are just tops, 10/10, even on my non-maxable Radeon HD 2900XT Perhaps another review shall follow in the days to come, but for now...that is all.
