Exclamation A Pittance of Time - Honor our Veterans

I hope this is the correct thread to post this. If not I will delete the post.

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, in 1918 the Armistice was sigend ending "The Great War" (World War I). The 11th of Novemeber has been celebrated for this. As time has gone on, Armistice Day has evolved into Veterans Day in the US, Remembrance Day in Canada, UK, and Australia, and is still known as Armistice Day in France and New Zealand. Though the names of these days in different, the idea behind them remains the same: To honor and remember our veterans.

I ask that everyone here bows their head in a moment of silence in honor of your veterans.

I also ask that you watch this video ( http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...arch&plindex=1 ). I first saw it a few years ago, and I believe that it really is apporpriate for this day.

Katie Couric, while interviewing a Royal Marine sniper, asked:
"What do you feel when you shoot an Arab Terrorist?"

The Marine shrugged and replied , "A slight recoil."

Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends on what we think. What we think depends on what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality.
