War is hell. This is not some funny thing. People are dying.

We should never forget this to prevent the beginning of another war, and try to develop some peacefull solutions.

If we would turn war in to some kind of computer game, we would most likely forget all the fear of death and destruction that war brings.

Yes but I think the thread starters intention was to be lighthearted and not so serious and so the responses were just as lighthearted. Or did I stumble into the "Only be serious Off topic section"?

And don't forget we're playing a computer game about war here. Lighten up or don't play it anymore.

Which game ? designed by who ? whats the 'entry fee' ? how do you calculate each faction strength ? how do you define a faction, as a nation ? as an protagonist group ? what is there to gain ? how does it relate in real life res sources ? etc etc

In the end people will die just in order for one group to have an upper hand in the definition of one the the above.

But in a way countries already have a way to express their frustrations towards an other one, thats called sports.
And as computer games are slowly growing to become a spectators entertainment. All these questions might get answered one day. And that'll be the end to war, but I doubt we'll be that better off.
