New puppy
I got a new puppy on Saturday as a replacement for my golden retriever that died 2months back, the house hasnt been the same with out him.
Anyhoo, this puppy, is driving me insane, he howls alllll night and doesnt stfu. We'v obvioustly done a lot of research into the idea of getting him to be a good little noob and be quiet, as yet he still howls but I supose it has only been 4nights now. Were getting him a cage soon so he will have his own little "room" in the kitchen which a lot of peope (including the vet) said is really heplful for dogs. I was just posting this so I can gage from anyone who's ever had a puppy in the past's experiences on puppy training and to hopefully help make him a quiet little nooblet. Heres a picture of the little blighter to ![]() Such a cutie |

He is in an unfamiliar environment and so he will howle. You have to almost take him along -everywhere- for the first few days, when your around the house you need to have him near you, that way he will get familiar with your scent and feel safer.
And the most annoying thing about puppy training, is when he cries you have to take him outside, every time he makes the funniest of noises or squeaks, put him outside, because that means he got to pee, and if you wait 30 sec he will wet the floor, and the sooner he learns to go outside the better. And if he poos inside the house pick it up with paper and put the paper in the garden. Sound disgusting but it actually helps that he smells it outside. But yes, as much close contact with you as you can during the first few days so he get used to you and show him the entire house and let him sniff around properly, he sound like he is scared and confused still. And he is adorable, what is his name? |
