His name is Alfie, he's only really been in the kitchen since we got him because me ma doesn't want poop and wee marks on the floor. Were also not yet allowed to take him outside because he hasn't had his vaccinations yet :s gets his first on Saturday but then we have to wait 2 more weeks so he can have his other 2 jabs, ohh joy.
Dont let those puppy dog eyes deceive you. He's a total hell raiser. |

Just came back form his first puppy party, he got to meet a couple other dogs and their owners. He was the star of the party by all accounts, playing along nicely then trying to mount a couple others smaller than him. He's only 8/9weeks old and he's already trying to have sex, unbeleivable.

Natala is almost completely correct...... almost.
Leave him alone when he howls. If you go to him he'll be conditioned to think "I howl: master comes" and you're making a rod for your own back by doing this. Wait til he quietens down and then go make a fuss of him; treats, belly rubs, play with his toys etc. Once he realises that there's no response to his howling but recognises he'll get affection for "good" behaviour he'll soon quieten down and settle into your home. It'll be a pain in the arse for a while but it WILL work. Remember, dogs have no sense of time (in the conventional sense) so if he's quiet for even 30 secs go and fuss over him. The danger is going to him mid-howl. The rest of the advice re putting the turds outside is absolutely spot on. Trust me: my folks have bred German Shepherds for 35 years and I was brought up with the hairy fools...... not in any "Wolf Boy" sense, I must add |

I have two rotweillers, each were taken from rescue centres and they'd had a real tough life. Dogs are so loving, if you don't have a dog and you have extra time on your hands and some money, go get one from a rescue centre. ![]() | |
