Christopher Lee is also a metal fan and was supposedly in RAF Intelligence and possibly even SOE during World War II. That guy is 31 flavors of cool.

Christopher Lee has made some greta movies but Iwas actually unsure to whether he was actually a fan of Rhapsody (Of Fire) you missed the Of fire now
Never knew he had a military background either he can sing alright... well who's to say they didn't just use pitch editing during pre-production. Not cheesy enough for Rhapsody though is it (the song)? |

Wiki about Lee's military background:
He volunteered to fight for the Finnish forces during the Winter War against the Soviet Union in 1939; however, as Lee admits in his autobiography, he and his fellow British volunteers were in Finland only a fortnight and kept well away from the Russian forces the whole time. He went on to serve in the Royal Air Force and intelligence services during World War II. He trained in South Africa as a pilot but eyesight problems forced him to drop out. He eventually ended up in North Africa as Cipher Officer for No. 260 Squadron RAF and was with it through Sicily and Italy. Additionally, he has mentioned serving in Special Operations Executive. Lee retired from the RAF after the end of the War with the rank of Flight Lieutenant. - On a different note, he is a singer, he has song in a lot of movies in the past. But now that he is 83!!! years old I think it is safe to guess that he got some pitch editing. |
