readings, downloading (direct and in, you spoil us!) ...engrossed! And will be so for some good time!

p.s LOL to rocket firing comparison between the Brits and some children...jkes! It was as if they had no idea what would happen - powerfull rocket + house =...hmm, come back to me on that one! Although i love the voice of the chap at the start - "Wuhahoo...i fired a javelin" - got to watch to get really.

After long nosy around, it looks super clean, is very easy to navigate, and ofcourse, highly informative. So, yes, it is everything a website should be.

Quick question: I know a rifle platoon is made up of 3 sections and a smaller bunch of other specialize support people (lol) but:
1) how is a javelin platoon organized - sections, fireteams.

2) how many Javs per platoon

3) how many ammo carriers (tubes i guess) per Jav.

4) What other equipment do you carry, i know you will carry SA80s, but what about the odd SAW or UGL?

oo, and depends on answer to rest but how does the Jav platoon integrate with the rifle platoons - do you stay all stick together in you jav pla. or do you ever split, with half of the jav pla. going off with 1 rifle pla. and the other with another rifle pla.

Cheers Gaz

1 Grab a SAW
2 Find the highest hill/building around a flag
3 Move there, stay there, Spot, call out, attack marker... SAW!
4 For god sake go from high ground to high ground! NOT bottom of a valley to open field to gully!

1)Javelin Plt > around 28 blokes
2 x Sections in a platoon (12 guys per section)
2 x Detachments per Section (5 x Pax in each det)
2 x 'Firing Posts' per Det
Firing Post is 2 guys - Gunner and Controller Observer

2)2 firing posts per Det, so 4 per Section, so 8 per Plt.

3)Everyone carries at least 1 LTA (missile tube), while each gunner gets the lucky job of carrying a missile plus the CLU.

4)Check out the Javelin Weapon System page of the site. We use all the Infantry weapons while being a Javelin specialised unit.

A Javelin Plt is a Battalion level asset. Individual Dets can be attached to Platoon level groups as a Support element. A section is a Company level attachment etc.

Bloody hell, 8 launchers, 24 missiles, LSWs, SAWs and UGLs....yer, without doubt you Irish are genuinely.. packing it!

SO when you decide to combine your selves with the 16th Air Assault Brigade, im pretty damn sure that if any foreign threat had any idea what so ever what and who you bitches are, i think you become some what more of deterrent that any number of trident subs could ever be, o and of course if their were to provide you with the ultimate test, you would only accomplish the cementing of your reputation as being utterly invaluable to this country and I hope, the all!

All persons, from TOP DOWN, should never forget this!

p.s Gaz, it would be great to play a game with you! Will it be 0.7 beta like with all DEVs or Sunday night on the TG server!

Gaz, if a recruit joins the Royal Irish, is there a good chance you'll be instructing them at some point? Perhaps you've met my mate spud

Depends if he is 1 R IRISH or 2 R IRISH. If he's full time, he's probably 1 R IRISH, so I wouldn't have.
