Thanks, Lothrian. I looked at the beemer, but the estate had a major waiting list, which I wasn't prepared to wait for. Plus, every bmw dealer I have ever been to, seem to look down their nose at me and act like they are doing me a favour selling me a car! so screw them.
I tried an audi s6, nice car, but the suspension could knock your teeth out if you went over a cornflake, it really was way too hard, so god knows what the rs6 will be like when it is ready. It also didn't have that ultimate feeling of raw power that my e class has.
I prefer the e class to the cl I had. They are very diferent cars to drive even though they share the same engine. If you could decribe them like dogs then I would say that the cl was like a lazy big dog that could really move when you kicked it up the arse, but the e class feels like a mental spaniel who you are having to hold back on the lead all the time. Give me mental spaniel anyday

The other thing I didn't like with the cl was that you couldn't go anywhere without getting stared at. It seemed kind of cool at first, but when people start taking pictures of your car at traffic lights with you still in, it just gets embarrasing.
My e is far more discreet, with no massive body kit, just 4 exhausts sticking out the back, to give a hint.
If I get time tomorrow, I'll take it to the car wash and take some pictures to post on here.

Budvarholsten, sorry to hear about the accident, but I'm glad that it happened in such a way that something good came along with all the bad.

On topic: the car we drove when we visited the US a couple of months ago. Alright, the car my dad drove most of the time, even though he did let me drive it once in Joshua Tree National Park. May not look like a beauty, but the most powerful car I have driven so far.
