Default Insurgency MOD for HL2

Anyone Tried this?
It's still little buggy still but it's great! A great infantry mod! Great teamplay!!
I played this for about a week then played PR last night, it helped out my PR game big time. PR seemed a whole lot easier. I love both mods they're great.

I enjoyed a good few weeks of playing it but then got sick of the bugs (most annoying is people shooting you when they apear to be facing the opposite way), the next release may drag me back for another go.

I tried it out the very day it came out. There where numerous delays just before launch, and it was obvious that they weren't done but pretending they could actually get it done in time.

For the long ass development time, the bugs that where in the game where simply INEXCUSEABLE.

Couldn't reload the M249 SAW. Cannot put a grenade away when you sprint with it; can't toss it either. HOW did those get missed?

Desertfox and Garabaldi were on the tester team, 'nuff said.

Some stuff for Beta 2:
* New Commander Promotion System*
* New Weapon: M4A1 Assault Rifle with Front Grip (USMC)
* New Weapon: AKS74U (Insurgents)
* New Weapon: Al-Kadesiah Sniper Rifle (Insurgents)
* New Weapon: SKS Simonov Self-Loading Carbine (Insurgents)
* New Map: Ins_Samawah
* New Player Customization and Weapon's Selection Systems
* New Navigation Indicators**
* New Overhead Map

It was good for urban CQB Infantry combat, in that area it really shines due to all of its features that HL2 allow like leaning, deployable bi-pods and all that stuff, but every where else it goes down hill IMO. Maps are too small, too easy to just camp areas and get lots and lots of kills by doing soo as there are only very few limited routs. To much spawn killing and lots of things like that. I much prefer PR for its all roundedness even if its CQB Infantry combat is nothing like as good as INS but that is really to do with engine limitations than anything else.

Yeah, I agree with camping, hiding. We just decided to put up a small 12 man server, we might bump it up to 16, but more than that would be crazy on the real small maps.
