What is this mysterious US aircraft ?
Looks cool but does anyone know what this US aircraft could be after stumbling it at google images ?

Wow, that's cool. I bet it was an experimental fire support mod for the OV-10, so it could provide gunship support like a cross between an AH-1 and an AC-130.

"The OV-10 Night Observation Gunship (NOGS) was a USMC OV-10A modified to include a turreted FLIR sensor and turreted M-197 20-mm gun slaved to the FLIR aimpoint. Successful in combat in Vietnam, NOGS evolved into the NOS OV-10D, which included a laser designator."

Freaky little plane; served all the way into ODS. They could also carry 5 paratroops in the back, but very uncomfortably; seated on the floor, single-file and butt-to-nut. Basically, the pilot just pulled up and let them all dump out of the back.
