I loved this game (even though i'm horrible at it), loved flying a FW-190 into a dense pack of B-52 (there was a mission available that had 50+ B-52's in wedge formation with flack all around). I bought the whole 1946 bundle so i had the pacific expansion too. Great fun.

btw, any suggestions to mods or tweaks to make it run better or to have more fun? i'm thinking of reinstalling it.

yes! even so many years later IL2 is still THE flight combat game.

I still have much more photos in game. I have on sequence where I ran out of fuel with my Bf-109, but I maneged to make a perfect landing :P

Ah, and we only play in realistic servers.

Oh boy flew tens of hours on servers(in addition to hundreds of sp+mp with other aircraft) against human players to master the fw-190,then read dozens of pages of documents and forum discussion about tactics for fw-190,but i failed miserably to master the plane i liked most.

Damn, you must have been in one fast Fw-190. lol

But seriously, IL-2 is THEE best combat propsim. Bf-109 is my fav. The mods at allaircraftarcade are sweet.
