Happy National Day China!
So today (well, actually, yesterday afternoon and this morning in China) is the Day of National Celebration in the People's Republic of China, the day when Mao Zedong the People's Liberation Army liberated Beijing (Beiping at the time) and Chairman Mao proclaimed the establishment of the New China 58 years ago. Millions cheered. It symbolized the beginning of the end of a 22 year war that has still not been officially ended, and the NRA's forces were pushed into central China by the Chinese Communist Party while Chiang Kai-shek escaped to Taiwan, splitting the command corps of the NRA from its body. Millions have died for this day, so let this be a day of rememberance of the brave PLA soldiers that "[Braved] the enemy's cannon fire" and died not only in the Chinese Civil War, but also in the War of Resistance Against Japan. "Without The Communist Party, There Will Not Be The New China".
So, uh, for anyone living in the PRC, enjoy your 7 days off you lucky bastards! And glory to all Chinese people of the world.

Well, the only ones I know of are me, Heavy Z, and I used to know a few others that have since become inactive...
But there are 12000 registered users, maybe we got some new ones. |
