wow, the sims i honestly liked that game. i feel dirty saying that, but i bet theres loads of closet sims fans here

you missed commander and conquer, red alert and quake and if i have to come competely out of the gamming closet. baldurs gate aswell

I've been playing Age of Empires: Age of Kings II and the expansion, Conquerors, if you consider those "old games" for a few weeks and I'm playing Age of Mythology now and Titans soon. Can't go wrong with AoE and AoM!

Oh man Theme Hospital was awesome. The game just got ridiculous at certain points though, like an earthquake will come and destroy everything I have. And then my patients would slowly get more and more fed up and I could do nothing!.

AoE2 rocks. Because my laptop isn't high-spec gaming, I've been buying and digging up old games to run on it.

Mainly, I've been playing:
AoE2 + Conquerors
Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge
Deus Ex
Theme Hospital
god knows how many mega drive games
god knows how many indie games

The Sims (original) was pwn elite. The expansion packs got a little silly though. Since I was a kid when I first got into games, the Maxis series of games (Sim...____) where ALWAYS fun, even if they where very abstract, like Sim Earth. Sim Earth needs a remake, as the most recient version of SPORE I've seen appears to be epic fail as it's so kiddy looking now. :<

AoE2 is great, I tend to build very RP like forts, 20 gates and so on ^^.

JKA isn't that old. You wan't to kick it old school jedi-style get Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and the Mysteries of the Sith expansion.

Cargo Soldiers, one of the best forms of online gaming yet devised.

But the carbonite gun was just lame . Damn bounty hunters.

Others to consider: Fallout 1 & 2, Jagged Alliance 2 (along with expansions and the excellent mods out there. Still easily the best squad based tactical turn based ever made. Which is slightly sad, considering its almost a decade old. But its awesome. )
