Katie Couric, while interviewing a Royal Marine sniper, asked:
"What do you feel when you shoot an Arab Terrorist?" The Marine shrugged and replied , "A slight recoil." |

still in the process of reading, but worst military job...
"Are there any volunteers?" Anyone that steps forward will usually have quite a shitty job. |

Worst job in U.S. military? Probably toilet scrubber on a carrier or submarine. Not only do you get to clean crap but you get to clean it in a horribly claustrophobic place.
Worst job in a foreign military? The suicide squads in Iran don't sound too attractive. |

Worst job in the military? The poor soul who has to personally notify the family of a service member who has been killed in action in combat or during training. Of all the lousy jobs I have heard people do in the service, I would rather burn shit with diesel fuel than do that job.

Worst job in the military? Gee, there's so many. There was washing a humvee for 3 days until there wasn't a single solitary speck of sand in it. Or scrubbing the berthing area on ship for a week with toothbrushes. Oh, there were also the guys who had to hose down the head every time the toilets exploded; that looked like fun. Or the squids who got to paint the ship while the rest of us went on libo in Spain and drank until we couldn't feel feelings anymore.
The one group of guys who seemed like they really had their work cut out for them were the gun crews working the counter-battery artillery. Every time we got a hit on the radar they would have to get a firing solution and reposition the guns, just in case. |
