I dont suppose there would be a way to barricade your self and the other survivors in a mall and hear the "elevator music" version of "the sickness" by disturbed is there? lol

Most likely not. Though it is possible to mod it in I assume. (RO, INS) Since its the source engine, and we are going to have hoards of the undead, it will most likely be lots of CQB. Also, Riki, why dont you hop on Xfire?

Check the first post I made which describes the zombie types (i'll be constantly updating it with new ideas i get from this thread and the one on steam) but there will be zombies of all flavors, fast, medium and slow.
although I do like the idea of having all slower zombies, the true fear that they instill are with very large numbers and I don't exactly know how many can be on screen at once (i know there can be a lot, but if it's all just these kind of zombies, it may just turn into a game of dodge the zombies) and yeah i want zombies to be capable of holding different random melee weapons. and the idea behind zombies going at different speeds is that you can run a marathon, get bit by a zombie, and then what's going to happen, you just turn into a zombie and move slow? no rigamortis hasn't set in, so you'd be "normal" and so far, as far as i know, there is a uzi, shot gun, m-16 (with 50 round magazine and i don't know about british guns, because i want weapons that you could pick up at a gun shop or something, and i don't think the guns in Pr you can pick up anywhere and in regards to how missions go, i would like to start players off with just a pistol and knife, then they find better melee weapons, and guns, good thinking. and no L4D has no iron sights, it would be something that gets added in eventually. and to joker, of course id get a mapper to make a mall level!! and in case you are curious in the dawn of the dead remake Richard Cheese is the artist who does the lounge/elevator music version of down with the sickness. What he does is take popular songs like that and turns them into that style, you should really check him out, he's totally hilarious, seriously, listen to his version of gin and juice, it's great! |

Can't, I'm at work atm, though I'll be home in about an hour, I'll hop on to see if you are still on. And CQB does kind of make iron sights less useful, but I can't stand cross hairs, but I also think there needs to be a way to aim precisely, since you will be wanting to make head shots when you fire.

Im really liking the sound of this.
my british weapon suggestion came purely from having rewatched 28 days later recently... but yeah, i think the firearm store idea is good, but itd also be nice to branch out... i mean, who says all the maps HAVE to be in the US? Maybe some other places could be done too, right? Oh god...m14... anyone have a link to that being used in game? I always love it when games add in a nice precision rifle with a punch... too many games focus on fast firing SMGs and mid range m16 type rifles... gun fanatics dont try to own me on that, i was being general |

Well I think the game will be an anywhere kind of game, it won't necessarily be the US or UK or anything like that. You won't be in a certain city, you will be in a subway system, on a street, in a park. plus i'm no map maker

He says 5 campaigns, campain with skilled survivors will mean 1 hour of play if they don't die. Does that mean 1 hour for all 5, or per campaign? Even per campaign thats still not alot of gameplay :P Game better be 19.99 |
