You want to check some real strange numbers?

12/21/2012 or 12212012 or 21122012 <for Europeans)are root numbers of an inverse Fibonacci* sequence or string. The string can start at any number or point and doesn't have to be orderly as long as it follows whats called a linear recurrence and this ^ puppy is classic. It's strangely identical to the "golden string": 1011010110110101101... just replace the 2's w/ 1's, and the 1's w/ 0's: 12212012


*Fibonacci sequences can be found in every pattern in nature; the rings of a pineapple start at 0 nub (the top) then 1 then another 1 then it spirals to 2 rows then 3, 5, 8 so on. (the numbers are; 0,1,1,2,3,4,5,8,13,21,34... add the last two to get to the next) Same applies to leaf patterns DNA strings etc. So why can't the cosmos have a predictable pattern?

Believe me in my business I work with Fibonacci,(as well as Gann retracement values and Elliot wave theory) and I literally count on Fibonacci sequences to unfold to predict future commodity prices and retracements. The future is one big phat pattern laid out for the astute.

So your a pro on numbers, and i'm a pro on DNA, so maybe you could explain to me how DNA sequences follow a fibonacci sequence?

Thats irrelevent. The predictions of the transit of Venus by the Maya (which up to now have been 100% accurate) cease in what is generally accepted to be 2012. However, not matter what year your specific religious/whatever group believe it to be, the predictions stop. The calender ends.

The end of the calender does not, by definition, mean the end of the world. It simply means a great change. No one has a sodding clue.

Personally I think its interesting (especially considering the accuracy of the Mayan calender to date) but I'm still skeptical as to whether the "great change" will occur.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Firstly Ti Ger Nigo, I'm certainly not a professional mathematician, I'm a commodities options trader. I have to calculate delta models in order to establish retracement and foreward values.

Unlike you, I'm a rank noob when it comes to DNA sequencing but I'll give it a shot as well as see what I can dig up:

Here's what I do know about genetics; The double helix is 34 (I think they are called angstroms?) long by 21 angstroms wide. The numbers 21 and 34 fall with-in the Fibonacci sequence. So the construction of DNA can indeed be seen in terms of the string ratio.
0-1-1-2-3-5-8-13 > 21-34 < 21-13-8-5-3-2-1-1-0 Remember it doesn't have to be in order as long as it's with-in the defined linear recurrence form.

I also found several sites that respond to my criteria. This one seems to cover the subject nicely, but like I say there are several more, if as you say, you would be interested in knowing:

No offence, but as you say you're a Genetic Pro, don't you understand the use of algorithms in terms of numerical computations for the analysis of the Human Genome Project? I would think that you would have heard of Fibonacci sequential use.

P.S. Again since you say your interested, if you want, come on my vent and further discuss Fibonacci sequences, the golden string ratio, Elliot wave theory (which I do know a bit about as I use on a daily basis) or genetic code or sequencing. I'm willing to learn a few things. It's all good either way man.
