Quake Wars: Enemy Territory Demo

I just played the Quake Wars: Enemy Territory Demo and stuff that I learned in PR was really useful in it, primarily in regard to sniping and tank combat. People seem to be complaining that the map that comes with the demo is "defensively biased:"

Does anyone think that? I just played about 7 hours exclusively on the GDF and I think that the Strogg are not much of a challenge if you use a tank to fire at them from a distance.

After playing the map so much, the only problem I have encountered is if the Strogg are allowed to build several antivehicle and antipersonnel turrets just outside the tunnel, such that you cannot fire on them until you have cleared the tunnel, but it is still possible to break through them (unless there are enemy troops in the tunnel that are smart enough to fire on people while they are repairing vehicles). After the first few times that happened (incidentally around the time I started playing with the tanks), I learned to blitz the Strogg by using suppressive fire (from a tank at long range) on them so other engineers could build the bridge quickly. I then followed up the performance by crossing through the bridge and assaulting all enemy troops/assets/etcetera either on the way to the outpost or at outpost to clear the way for the <I forget the acronym> to to go to outpost.

I have to agree its defensively biases, I mean the strogg even get flying bunny hopping machines and even if you do manage to shoot one down, the strogg guy can bail out before it explodes and hes still at 100% health.

You can still climb over the top of the mountain and shoot the turrets from there with rockets. I believe that the pro's opinion is that *that map* is defensively biased, but different maps will be different. As far as pubs go though, sometimes it can feel offensively biased. Just depends on the players on each team.
