Yeah HL2 had some scary parts as well. I remember one time where i absolutely freaked was the part where those bug things come out of the ground. I was making my way ok and then i missed a jump! They came at me so fast i didnt know what to do. I started to shoot and run and just go crazy...good times. But in HL2 you could get out of it with brute force, these things in Far Cry kill you so quickly.

Half Life 2 has the distinct honor of having the best zombie-being-burned-alive sounds ever. In anything. I smile just thinking about it.

However, if you insist on being non-manly I suggest the M4A1, as much as I hate the thing is pretty much the most flexible and effective weapon in FarCry. The Jackhammer only really seems to be effective against human enemies and not so great against trigens (one shot won't stop them [assuming of course you're playing on one of the more manly difficulty levels] and due to their speed you often wont get the chance for a second, much better to burn half a mag into their face). The Minimi is pretty good as well, I don't really like the G36 or OICW because they can't hit the broad side of a barn from the hip and the scope isn't all that handy in CQB. Though the 'nade launchers are fun. | |

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

If you play it backwards the zombie says "ARRGGHHH Oh go help me, oh god, please help me, I'm-"

You know... I never really had much appeal to the "Zombie" shooter games or the movies... I hate playing a video game that will scare the hell out of me...
My first run in was Resident Evil the original on regular playstation when that wall crawler thing ambushed you in that hallway when you are just going from 1 room to another... I never touched another resident evil title again nor will I play a "scare the shit outta me" game...except for crysis... |
