Captial idea!

Or we could all move in together, huddle for warmth, dance for entertainment, and devour the weakest member each week.

i wont be "impressed" as a consumer until its in the shops running benchmarks on applications i am likely to use.

B*S hardware that costs them too much to make has been industry practice (when you dont have anything competitive to hold off sales) since the birth of the industry.

Stop talking about what you might have and show me what you have when you get it.

^^^ That is what I was thinking as well. AMD has been touting there next gen chips but have had problems even getting the majority of them to break 2.0ghz. Hopefully AMD can get things back on track as I really like them and think the competition is great for consumers. But until I see some solid benchmarks I won't belive any of this. Plus the "days of $1000 CPU's is over" line scares me, do they think people will be more apt to spend $700-$800 on a cpu Still way to expensive IMO.

Cheers,

Close your eyes and imagine some really cool military picture, or better yet a really funny picture in this space. I said close your eyes damnit!

Yeah, I've just bought a new system, and for almost every part I've gone for the stuff that's not exactly top of the line, but close, which has saved me a lot of money.
