Good end with a lot of friends dying.

I read in 3 weeks !

it was quite good was not expecting the {SPOILER} snape thing {/SPOILER}

the bit where ron pissed off though was quite dull and the part where harrys wand got snapped.

I mean that Avada thing is supposed to be horrible, but it only kills on person at a time, and the so called dark lord only has something like 20 kills and is afraid of an aging Santa Claus in a castle.

I know. I've always thought the Ministry of Magic needs to partner up with the Muggle military. I mean, can you imagine how effective a napalm strike on the Forbidden Forest would have been at the end there? They also could have had some nice effective machine gun nests all over the castle's defenses. Or if the situation were reversed, they could have just artied the hell out of the castle (this is what they ended up doing in a way, but conventional arty could be used as well). The great thing about this is that the Death Eaters would never have solicited, much less gotten Muggle help.

Spells are fine and dandy, but why would you shoot a slow moving energy beam (which is why laser guns in movies always perplex me) when you can shoot an extremely fast moving piece of metal that accomplishes the same end? In addition, they don't have scopes for wands. But you can bet your ass there's a scope on an M24.

So sort of like a "Big Friendly Giant" movie moment? where the military capture all those silly giants who eats childrens.


I only read up to book 3 then I got bored of Harry. To me its always the same thing, something dark happens, harry gets bullied by Malfoy, Ron turns even more gay then in the end its all happy families.

Hm, a combined Muggle/Wizards army would be pretty sweet...conventional technology can accomplish a lot, and the rest can be done by the magic. Could be pretty good for battlefield surgery, and for inserting/extracting troops. Spec-ops using invisility cloaks with some added magical punch to their ammo?

Ya, me too, except I stopped on the 4th book.

My sister is all like, these are the only books that interest me to read, and I'm like, wow, low standard in literature eh. The whole Harry Potter series is over hyped, marketed, and ingested. Thats my drunken opinion, jack.

Yeah, the snape thing shocked me too.
You appreciate how good a right Rowlings is after reading number 7. The last chapter though completely blew

As for the movies, they suck :P

I thought it was better than the last one, at least. And I personally think the HP books are good entertainment.
